FREE GUARDED PARKING FOR BICYCLES: on Friday and Saturday
A new edition of the Maratona is about to bloom, and with it the Maratona Village in San Leonardo in Badia will fill up with enthusiasm. As usual, from Thursday to Saturday, thousands of fans and visitors will flock to what can be considered as the symbolic meeting place of the Dolomites Granfondo cycling marathon. This year too, in addition to stalls offering everything under the sun, there will be no shortage of news and curiosities dedicated to everyone, without exception.
Thirty-five operators and a host of personalities
We can finally move around in complete freedom, and this is exactly how the collateral activities will take place, making life at the Maratona Village even more exciting, with its stage for parades, interviews and festive moments. As usual, the village is animated by more than thirty-five operators, and as you wander among the stalls you’ll be able to meet and get to know famous personalities who are happy to be interviewed by the public, have a banter, sign an autograph and even have their selfie taken. As is customary - and an eagerly-awaited event - each day our partner companies will reveal snippets and previews of some very interesting news.
Dedicated to the curious
Pinarello with its futuristic bicycles and Selle Italia with the innovative system to find the right saddle join us once more, just like Kask+Koo who will be presenting their new collection of eyewear and helmets. While Enervit is available to the public to offer advice on the use of energy products along the route,
cyclist friends will be able to benefit from the tyre check service provided at the Pirelli booth. Mapei, which has been successfully animating this three-day event for years, confirms its attendance, along with Enel and Audi with their ultra high-tech spaces where visitors will be able to discover the fantastic world of electric cars.
The Maratona for foodies
To call it a refreshments corner would be an understatement: the area reserved for tasting the various products offered by exhibitors is even more appetising thanks to the presence of multiple partners such as Segafredo, Cantine Maschio, Rio Mare, Loacker, Foodness and Exquisa.
Two shops in one
One of the most important new features is the expansion of the Maratona Shop, which has been split up into two shops again this year: the larger one inside the gym and the smaller one outside. As a result, the bike depot has been restyled and expanded, covering the roof of the Maratona shop. Although the Shuttle service is back in play, we recommend everyone reaches the Village by bike. A little pre-race training is certainly recommended.
A welcome confirmation is the renewed partnership between Castelli and Maratona, and the shop displays the new exclusive garments designed and made for the event. Here you can purchase products from a growing collection branded Maratona dles Dolomites – Enel, including some fantastic sweatshirts and T-shirts for leisure time and the original and colourful cycling kit, with all the related accessories: gloves, socks, leg warmers and arm sleeves to enjoy a ride on your bike on any occasion. And also in this space, Kask offers the new Maratona-customised Mojito.
An increasingly green corner
To confirm the Maratona’s awareness of environmental issues, the “Green Corner” is confirmed in partnership with Arcese Trasporti, a company that focuses on sustainability: in this space, some of our volunteer friends will help visitors sort their rubbish for recycling. Additionally, emphasis must be placed on the important effort made by the exhibitors who will try to minimise their use of plastic by using paper or biodegradable plastic.
Last but not least
Among the important new features of this new edition dedicated to flowers, two new extremely welcome presences will be blooming at the Village: the first is Shimano, Gold Partner of the Maratona and certainly a world leader in the bicycle sector and Eolo, a telecommunications company which joins the sponsors of the Maratona.
At this point all that is left for us to do is to wish you a pleasant experience at the Maratona Village, a place of meetings, discoveries and fun for all.
