The medals: A blend of nature and craftsmanship

The atmosphere of the Maratona dles Dolomites - Enel does not end at the finish line; it continues in the creation of its iconic medals, authentic testimonies of the harmonious fusion between the natural beauty of the Dolomites and the craftmanship of their creators. Let's take a closer look at them in preview.

Carefully selected materials form the basis of these precious medals: 1.5 cubic meters of sturdy spruce planks 60mm thick and 100 square meters of sun-patinated planks salvaged from old barns. The combination of new and old wood is intended to emphasise the transformation of time, Mutatio.

The production process begins by cutting the sturdy spruce planks and sun- patinated planks into manageable pieces, creating an intricate wooden puzzle. These fragments are then reassembled, combining the freshly cut boards with the sun-patinated ones to create the ideal base for the medals.

The medals are then cut into a circular shape from the previously assembled planks, and the "Mutatio" logo is carefully engraved into the wood, giving each medal with a distinctive and authentic touch.

On the back of the medal, the Maratona dles Dolomites - Enel logo, the word "finisher" and the date are applied. Finally, a hole is drilled to attach the medal ribbon, transforming these pieces of wood into tangible mementos of an epic challenge and an unforgettable experience among the majestic peaks of the Dolomites.
