Considering the unique situation, what do I have to do in order to take part in the Maratona without putting at risk my health or the health of the other participants?
In addition to the obligation to sanitise your hands often, you must wear a mask at all times (except during the sport activity) and always keep a safe distance away from others in all situations, it will be possible to pick up the starting number and to participate to the Maratona by presenting one of the following documents recognised by the Alto Adige Health Authority:
• Certificate of recovery from Covid-19, valid on race day
• Covid-19 vaccination certificate (full vaccination or first injection before/on June 19th)
• a negative antigen swab test or molecular test carried out from Thursday July 1st and therefore valid until July 4th, race day.
• Italian Green Pass
• Corona Pass Alto Adige
• For participants from abroad, from July 1st the Digital Green Certificate (DGC) will be valid. Further details will be published as soon as they are announced by the European Community.
Only certificates in Italian, English or German will be accepted.

What do I have to do if I already have a certificate of vaccination or a certificate of recovery?
If you already have a certificate of vaccination or recovery, you can already send it by e-mail to wecare@maratona.it by 20th of June 2021 in order to have access to a “fast lane” for the starting number pick up.
Certificates sent after 20th of June 2021 will not be accepted and must be presented at the dedicated desk at the starting number pick up. It will not be possible to pick up the starting number without presenting one of the required documents.
Only certificates in Italian, English or German will be accepted.

Do I have any advantages if I send the certificate of vaccination or the certificate of recovery by e-mail by 20th of June?
Yes, if you send your vaccination or recovery certificate by e-mail to wecare@maratona.it by 20th of June 2021, you will get access to a “fast lane” at the starting number pick up.

If I do not have the possibility to send the vaccination or recovery certificate by e-mail by 20th of June 2021, can I also present it directly at the starting number pick up?
Yes, if you do not send your vaccination or recovery certificate by 20th of June 2021, you can present it directly at the dedicated desk at the starting number pick up. In this case, unfortunately, you will not have access to the “fast lane”.
Certificates sent after 20th of June 2021 will not be accepted and must be presented at the dedicated desk at the starting number pick up. It will not be possible to pick up the starting number without presenting one of the required documents.
Please note that only certificates in Italian, English or German will be accepted.

Do I have to have completed the vaccination course for the vaccination certificate or is the first dose sufficient?
According to the new Italian regulation, the vaccination certificate is issued after the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
The certificate will be valid from the 15th day after the first injection.

If I arrive in Alta Badia without a certificate or a negative test, can I carry out an antigen test on site?
Those who arrive in Alta Badia without a certificate or negative test can carry out an antigen test on site. From June 21st to 24th it will be possible to book the test directly on the Maratona website maratona.it/safety. The same page will also provide continuously updated information concerning the safety protocol at the event.
Once the test has been carried out and the negative result has been confirmed, the participant will receive authorisation to collect the race pack.
If the result of the test in Alta Badia is positive, the person is subject to the prevailing COVID-19 measures of the country of origin, relatively quarantine rules and returning home.

If I book the test carried out in Alta Badia, when will I be able to do it?
You can get tested between Thursday 1st and Saturday 3rd July 2021. You can choose the date and time when you book.

Where do I have to go to do the antigen test?
To do the antigen test, you have to go to the Covid Test Centre in La Villa set up especially for the event.

Do I have to go at the booked time?
Yes. You will only be granted access to the Covid Test Centre at the booked time.

Do I have to arrive earlier than the booked time?
It is sufficient to arrive 5 minutes before your booked time.

Do I have to book the test in advance, or can I just turn up at the Covid Test Center without a booking?
Yes, it is compulsory to book your test in advance in order to avoid crowds or long waiting times at the Covid Test Center.

How can I book an antigen test at the Covid Test Center in La Villa?
From June 21st to 24th, it will be possible to book your test exclusively via the Maratona website, by going to the page maratona.it/safety

How much will my test cost and how can I pay for it?
Guaranteeing people’s safety entails huge organisational efforts, as are the costs of setting up, management and personnel of the Covid Test center. This cost will be fully covered by the organisation.

Will I get the result at the Covid Test Center where I do the test?
No. Once you’ve done the antigenic test, you do not need to wait for the result at the Covid Test Center, in order to avoid crowds.
You will be informed of the result via e-mail and/or SMS.

How long will it take to receive the test result?
You will receive the test result within an hour.

How long will a negative result be valid for?
A negative test result is valid for 72 hours from when the test is carried out. It will expire at midnight on the last day of validity.
For example: a test carried out on Thursday will be valid until midnight between Sunday and Monday.

What do I do if I test positive for Covid-19?
If the result of the test in Alta Badia is positive, the person is subject to the prevailing COVID-19 measures of the country of origin, relatively quarantine rules and returning home.

Where can I do an antigenic or PCR test to travel abroad or to travel by plane after the event?
Please find below a link providing indications of all the facilities that carry out this type of testing in Alto Adige. Given the high level of demand and considering that it takes longer to get the results of a PCR test, we advise you to contact the facilities well in advance in order to check availability and book your appointment:

Do relatives and companions who won’t be taking part in the race have to get tested?
The regional and national Covid regulations that are in force at the time of the event shall apply to any relatives and companions.

What do I need in order to pick up my bib?
Following 3 documents are needed to pick up the starting number:
1) The PRINTED voucher that will be sent by e-mail around June 25th
2) Original valid identification document (identity card, passport or driving license)
3) One of the certifications according to the safety protocol maratona.it/safety:
• Certificate of recovery from Covid-19, valid on race day
• Covid-19 vaccination certificate (full vaccination or first injection before/on June 19th)
• a negative antigen swab test or molecular test carried out from Thursday July 1st and therefore valid until July 4th, race day.

• Corona Pass Alto Adige
• Digital Green Certificate (DGC)
Only certificates in Italian, English or German will be accepted.
A pick up from third parties is not accepted.

Is the pass only needed to pick up the bib?
No, you’ll need your pass throughout the day of the race.

If I lose my pass, can I pick up another one?
No, it is only possible to pick up one pass after providing a negative test result.

Can I pick up a bib on behalf of a relative or friend who has not yet done the test?
The conditions of entry state that each bib must be picked up by the person in question. It is not possible to pick up bibs on behalf of others or for several bibs to be picked up by the same person.

Can my relatives or companions who are not taking part in the race access the area for picking up the bibs or the pasta party?
White areas, such as the area for the starting number pick up, the starting grids, the refreshment stands and the pasta party area at the finish line, can only be accessed by participants.

Can my relatives or companions who are not taking part in the race access the exhibition area of the Maratona Village and the Maratona Shop?
Yes. The national regulations governing local markets and shops shall apply.

When do I have to wear a mask?
It is compulsory to wear a mask at all times. You can only remove your mask 30 seconds before your grid starts and you must put it back on immediately after crossing the finish line.
Caution: it is compulsory to wear a mask at the refreshment points.
Furthermore, the regional and national rules in force at the time must always be followed.

What type of mask do participants in the race have to wear when this is compulsory?
Participants are required to wear a surgical mask (or equivalent). Other masks are not allowed.

When exactly do I have to remove my mask at the start line?
You may remove your mask just 30 seconds before your starting group gets underway.
