4 Routes: There are
3 possible routes for the 2010 Maratona dles Dolomites. Participants are free
to select the route best suited to their ability, also during the course of the
event, entirely according to their own judgement.
5 Entry: Open to
all adult male and female riders. Minors over 15 (fifteen) may just enter for the
short distance (55 km and 106
km) and can not run the 138 km long course.
Cyclists older than 65 (sixty five) must submit a medical certificate that may
not be dated previous to January 1st
2010 and may just run the shortest courses (55 km and 106 km). The 2010 Marathon
is by invitation and the Organising Committee may decide at any time whether to
accept or not the enrolment or to exclude at any time an enrolled contestant
for the event that may damage the image of the event. No registrations from participants who have been
disqualified for the use of drugs will be accepted. The 2010 Marathon
has a closed number of registrations to be divided equally between Italian and
International contestants. The cyclists
who have not regularly registered for the race cannot join the groups, on pain
of exclusion. In the event of an accident, they will be reported in accordance
with the law.
6 Division of the applications for entry: The 2010
Marathon estimates a participation of approximately 8,500 competitors divided
as follows: 4,700
entries by draw among all pre-registrations; 3,800 entries reserved for
official tour-operators, registrations not subject to the draw, registrations
whose surcharge will be assigned to charitable institutions and invitations. Registrations not subject to the draw are the ones
made by “fidelity members”, members who participated and concluded more than 10
(ten) editions of the Maratona, and the cancellations in 2009 that have regularly
sent the request for deferring the participation fee to 2010 edition. Pre-registered participants not drawn on November
2009 and not drawn and therefore not reported in the starting list in the last
two editions 2008 and 2009 will be readmitted to the race. As
from 2011, those who were not in the starting lists in the last three years,
2008, 2009 and 2010, will be admitted to the race. The system will therefore
allow for automatic repechage not the third year, but the fourth one. The 4,700 entries by draw will be divided in
single requests, cumulative requests with 2 (two) to 4 (four) members or
cumulative requests with 5 (five) or more members, in proportion to all
requests sent to the organisation.
7 Opening date for entry: It will be possible to pre-enter
for the 2010 Maratona from October 15th to November 5th
2009. Pre-entries sent prior or after that date will not be taken into
consideration. Starting packages offered by our official Tour

to charitable institutions will be sold departing 25th November 2009
and other 150 registrations departing 25th March 2010.
