Maratona for Kids

created and organized by Sportful

A journey longer than 10 years. It was a wonderful insight, that of Maria Canins and his 4 Sportful friends, the idea of a Maratona for Kids. Inspired by the Sassongher massif, thinking of children, their joy, their desire to play, they have created a unique event in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Dolomites.

We’re now at the 11th edition, we met more than 3500 children, who in these years have been pedaling with a free spirit and joy. The Maratona For Kids has always been marked by a jersey, born and designed for them: Sportful brings to it passion, joy and enthusiasm: dedicating each year a new theme and making it unique.
This year, the jersey was also designed by Fabio Vettori (www.fabiovettori.com), Italian artist and illustrator who, through its ants-themed designs, reimagines the valleys and places of Alta Badia; a jersey that becomes a fun and witty picture to keep and collect.

Saturday 1st July 2017 in Corvara will take place the "Maratona for Kids" organized by Sportful and their friends of Alta Badia. This is a non-competitive race for children between 6 and 12 years of age, the use of the helmet is mandatory and the entries are closed number. For the first 400 who will sign up, an exclusive cycling jersey specially designed by Sportful will be given as a gift. The event will take place at the meadow adjacent to the arrival area of the Maratona dles Dolomites - Enel. Departure is at 10:30, and departure batteries will be made by age class. A mountain bike is recommended. No bicycles or helmets are rented on site.

Entries will be held exclusively on Saturday morning starting at 9 am directly at the venue and will cost € 5,00 per child. The whole amount will be given to charity for the "Love for our land… 1,000 plants" project in collaboration with the Association of Groups "Insieme si può" NPA/NGO (www.365giorni.org).. We will deliver over 1,000 plants to children from North Uganda. Together we will grow new fruit trees and timber trees to support the supply and preserve the environment!
